"Have you heard anything yet?"

Well, before I answer that question. I'm shocked to realize that I haven't written in a LONG time, TWO whole months have passed since my last post. Mostly because there was nothing to write about. The ministry should've started processing Exit Permits (EPs) in January. Then they would start in February....nope, not February either....I was beginning to grow weary, very, very weary...I actually thought that Jaxson would never be coming home. I had hit my low, the lowest point, the worst that I had felt since we started this whole process, since we first saw that beautiful, little face.

Then when I was feeling at my worst, I got an email and in the subject line it said Visa Physical Scheduled for March 15th. I was dumbfounded, I was shocked, I was excited, but at the same time I was thinking of my adoption friends, knowing that all of us waiting could not have gotten the same news. People that I have never met, but feel an unbelievable connection. No one knows the ebbs and flows of this process until they go through it and I'm forever thankful to those that have helped me through my down days.

Now when someone asks, "Have you heard anything yet?" I finally have an answer, YES, Jaxson is having his Visa Physical on March 15th. So, what does this mean? It means that we're getting closer to bringing him home.

The next thing that we are waiting for is to be submitted for an EP. Once that is approved by the Korean Government then our agency will send all the paperwork to the US Embassy in Seoul and they will issue Jax's visa to travel to the US. A few days later, we will get our travel call. And the Brokaws will be Seoul bound.

The other exciting news this week is that we have confirmation from our agency that EPs will start to be submitted next week and they plan on EXPEDITING the first few batches. Now we don't know exactly what batch we fall into, but we are hoping and praying it's one of those first few.

One last thing....on Friday, February 10th, we got 2 DVDs of video footage of Jax with his foster family doing all sorts of things. He is playing, eating, dancing. There's footage of him at Gymboree Play and Music class. It was so wonderful to see him moving and interacting. My favorite moment...hearing him laugh for the first time...it was amazing.

Here's one little clip. There aren't a lot of clips we can show because he is always with a member of his foster family and to protect them, we can not post videos or photos of them on-line. Enjoy!
