Steve and I are so excited to share with our family and friends that we have decided to adopt a baby from South Korea. We started this whole process in November when we were faced with the decision of do we continue to try IVF or do we move on and try to become parents as soon as possible. We decided that adoption was right for us.
Then came more decisions-international or domestic? What about fostering children and then adopting. We talked to everyone that we knew that had adopted in the past and got a ton of great advice. Then we decided on our adoption agency and applied. We were accepted into the program and started on all the paperwork that comes with an adoption.
Well, that was December and now in March, we found out on Friday, March 18th that our homestudy has been sent to Korea. So we are officially waiting for a baby! We are so excited!
And so now the waiting has begun.............
